JAM Ride:1 –Gabor:0 (K.O. after first punch)

I have not been updating my blog for a long time as I was very busy with work and family stuff.  But today I got my butt kicked so well, that it needs to go into the cyber history book. I decided to join the Wednesday JAM ride,a ride with some of the really fast roadies [...]

XC Nationals:I put the hammer down –and popped.

I optimistically took my geared bike to the XC Nationals on Sunday. The field was strong, with most of the usual suspects in Masters 30-39.

Warmed up fairly decently and felt good. From the start attacked and made it to ride in 3rd place. Just before the Eye dropper the first and second rider crashed. I was [...]

Cycling video analysis –I have legs.

Just got my analysis done at CPSTC. The good news is I got two legs. The bad news is one is fairly weak and inefficient, the other is much weaker and much more inefficient. I got some work to do to restore the balance, but it is all good stuff. Looking forward to the one legged [...]

10 Edworthy hills today WITHOUT knee pain!

Deadgoat Summer Solstice –babysitting way above Lactate Threshold.

First fartlek commute today.

Did a little fartlek on the way home today. Tomorrow same thing on Nose Hill hopefully. The knee is still a bit sore, but the legs felt good. Oddly I feel like I cannot push my heart rate over 160bpm tho. I really need some high speed work. I wish I had a working heart [...]

Back to Alberta

the good news:the new Ridley X-Fire is super nice.

the bad news:the snow is so deep in May that once you dig the wheels in it keeps the bike upright in a strong wind.
